There are  a few restaurants nearby that we recommend:

Ciutat Comtal: very good for special tapas. This is on Rambla Catalunya corner with Gran Via street.

La tagliatella: good italian restaurant. Just one main course per person is recommended. This is on Ronda Universitat street.

Ca l´Estebet: tipical catalan food. Very familial. This is on Valldonzella street.

El lobo: mediterranean food. Very nice terrace and atmosphere. This is on Pintor Fortuny street.

La Xina: modern chinaise food.Next to El Lobo restaurant in Pintor Fortuny street.

Passadis d´en Pep: very high level. very expensive but worth it. Seafood. This is on Plau de Palau.

El lobito: very nice seafood in Barceloneta quarter. Small but is like beeing at home.

Rufo y Mari:very nice and market food. Family place. The owners are not the most polite people but the food is the best. The outside and inside of this restaurant has nothing to do with the food. Do not miss it. This is on Freixures street. It is expensive.

Teresa Carles : the best vegetarian in Barcelona, ??and probably in Spain. Calle Jovellanos.

Pa comer algo: very good and perfect environment. Thi is on Muntaner street with Corcega street.

Fish : fresh fish market with some sushi. Passeig de Gracia .

7 Portes : one of the best restaurants to eat Paella.

Dos palillos : very creative tapas elaborated by a pupil of the most famous chef in the worls Ferran Adrià. A bit expensive but highly recommended. This is on Elizabeths street.
